Kids and Cops Camp receive donation

Ashtabula County Prosecutor Nicholas Iarocci press release

JEFFERSON_Nicholas Iarocci, Ashtabula County Prosecuting Attorney, is pleased to announce the recent donation of $500.00 from the Ashtabula County Prosecutor’s Office Law Enforcement Trust Fund (LETF) to the Kids and Cops Camp.

From left, Ashtabula County Prosecutor Nicholas Iarocci present a $500 check for the Kids and Cops Camp to Det. Greg Leonhard, Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Dept. and Assistant Commander of the TAG Law Enforcement Task Force.

The Second Annual Kids and Cops Camp, scheduled for the weekend of May 25 to 27, 2018 at Pymatuning State Park, provides minority children in Ashtabula and Trumbull Counties with the opportunity to spend quality time with law enforcement officers while camping, fishing, canoeing, shooting archery, and many other outdoor activities. Many officers from around the area generously volunteer their time and resources, and many charitable donors have contributed food, equipment, money, and their time, all to assist in making the Camp a great success.

The LETF is comprised of the Prosecutor’s share of proceeds received from the court- ordered forfeiture of criminal assets (either monies forfeited or proceeds from the sale  of forfeited assets) and mandatory drug fines.

Mr. Iarocci is proud that his office is able to financially assist the Kids and Cops Camp, the brain-child of Greg Leonhard, detective with the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Department and Assistant Commander of the TAG Law Enforcement Task Force.
