Victim of fatal meth lab fire identified

Shaun Warrens, 31, died Monday morning at the MetroHealth Burn Care Center in Cleveland. Warrens was transported Sunday evening from the Park Haven Home to the Ashtabula County Medical Center after an explosion and fire in Room 18 at the Home.
Warrens plead guilty to a methamphetamine possession charge in 2007 in Ashtabula County Common Pleas Court.

West – Wwest News Service – The Sunday night fire at the Park Haven Nursing Home in Ashtabula claimed the life of a burn victim Monday morning at the MetroHealth Burn Care Center in Cleveland. Five people were transported to the Ashtabula County Medical Center in Ashtabula. Two victims were treated and released. The explosion and resulting fire was caused by an illegal methamphetamine (meth) laboratory in Room 18 on the second floor at 5433 Park Avenue an Ashtabula Fire Department report said. Meth labs are a notorious explosion and fire danger because of the volatile mix of chemicals used to produce the illicit drug.
